Noor, the festival of lights, takes over the creekside at Souk Al Seef for one evening: Saturday 7 November 2026, 18:00 to 23:00, with a Diwali procession along the waterfront, live music and dance in the souk's lanes, and the restaurants open late. Entry is free.
Getting there from Riviera
Al Seef is on the Bur Dubai bank of the creek, about 20 minutes from MBR City by Al Khail Road and Oud Metha Road on a Saturday evening, longer on the way back. The nearest Metro is Al Fahidi on the Green Line, a ten-minute walk; from Riviera the Metro means a taxi to Business Bay first.
Why go
It is one of the few city events that is about the creek rather than the malls, and November is the first month it is comfortable to stand outside at nine in the evening.
Go early. One free evening on a waterfront of this size means the promenade is full by eight, and the installations read best in the first hour after dark, around six, when the souk is still half empty and the abras are still running at their daytime frequency. Eat at the souk afterwards rather than before, when the tables have turned once.
